Founder, Will You?

Fizuli built Will You? after watching friends agonise over how to ask someone out. He writes about making the ask feel less terrifying and more like the start of something good.

What I write about

Everything here is about one narrow problem: the gap between wanting to ask someone out and actually doing it. That covers the mechanics — what to say, when to say it, which medium suits which situation — and the parts nobody writes guides for, like what to do in the ten seconds after someone says no.

The seasonal guides cover homecoming, prom and Valentine's Day, because those are the moments when the question stops being hypothetical and acquires a deadline.

How the advice is arrived at

I built Will You? after watching friends rewrite the same message for three days and then not send it. The product exists because the ask is hard, and the writing comes from the same place: what actually helps somebody get the question out, rather than what sounds romantic in the abstract.

Where a guide gives a script, it is a script I would send. Where it says something is a bad idea — a giant public ask on someone private, a follow-up an hour later — that is because it reliably backfires, not because it breaks a rule. Nothing here is presented as clinical or psychological advice, because it is not.
